Case 5
Sustainable
Agriculture
Senior Year
Part 3 of the Justice Challenge (I did not take part two, Climate Justice) and one last hack at a wicked tree before my graduation this fall. This class seeks to answer the questions “what is Sustainable Agriculture? Why do we need it and how do we achieve it?” Though the course has yet to end, we’ve already begun incorporating multiple perspectives and voices to explore how to achieve sustainability.
Whether it be policies centered on justice and sustainability, personal and collective actions that shape agricultural outcomes, or understanding the intersections of sustainable agriculture with broader political, economic, and historical contexts to promote justice more effectively, for every branch on our tree we must uncover it’s root.
